Yogurt Sauce and Fruit

A side note in The Indian Cookbook by Shehzad Husain led me to this yogurt dipping sauce for fruit:

1/3 c. plain yogurt
2 T. rose water
1/4 t. ground cardamom

This sauce can be served with any fruit, but it goes particularly well with ones that are naturally honey-sweet and floral, like pears, melons, and cherries.

Rose water can be found in the Indian aisle at Wegman's.

Yes, we had major cherry tree drama last year. Thanks for dredging up that painful memory... Fortunately, nothing of the sort this year.

that sounds lovely, i cant believe you found the rose water and that it is indian. i am still trying to find the puff pastry. i want to make a cookbook. are you in?
