Texting Mobiles III

Another element in my installation for the Arcades Project on May 6: a pair of mod bar stools with poetry mobiles dangling over the seats. The mobiles are printed with scanned pebbles (see here for the full image), and the poems I wrote on the reverse play on the same theme:

Watery Pebbles

1.

Last winter, I saw
the fine print in my books,
sharp and concrete.
But now the stream is flowing again,
and the bright pebbles down below
never seem to stand still.

2.

Clatter of round pebbles tumbling into
a dry bowl. Fill it
with clear water.
Now reach inside,
and dip your hand.
Scoop up a stone, and
pull out a song.
