Map to Flight

Here is another mobile for the map show. This one is 23 inches tall, and it's a kind of mirror image of the one here.

The design on the back is both painted on and cut out of polymer clay. It started out as a sketch for a mobile, but I liked the way it looked on paper, so here it is in two dimensions instead of three. Instead, I made a mobile out of the bird that appears on the back of the partner piece.

There is also a cougar in the corner that may seem threatening, but you can escape by following the path right past her and taking wing into the stars.
